Guest Lecture - Harry Rose

A few weeks ago my fellow class mates and I had a Google Hangout with Harry Rose from Darwin Magazine.  This was an amazing opportunity to hear from an editor of a magazine, about what to look for when submitting to magazines such as Darwin.

One thing that Harry said in particular that stood out to me was to be critical of your own work, this is great advice coming from anybody, but from a magazine editor, it is something to not ignore.

He spoke about why he started the magazine, and he simply said it was because he was at university and saw how much good work was being created but not seen, so he wanted to create something for people to get their work seen.  So they put the work of unestablished photographers alongside established photographers to really get the work seen.
